Though China’s economy growth rate has been slowing, Food & Beverage industry in China is continuing to show a steady and healthy development. According to the statistics from National Bureau of Statistics of China, in 2016, the total operation revenue and total profit of F&B industry achieved 11.1 trillion RMB and 725 billion RMB respectively, both increased by 6 percent year-on-year. It is expected that by 2020, the operating revenue of F&B business could rise to 16 trillion RMB in total.
Meanwhile, the increasingly strict food safety regulations and rising labor costs push the food processing industry to face Transformation and Upgrade challenge. Under such circumstance, Asia Food Tech 2018, China’s biggest and top-end exhibition for the entire food industry, will be held from May 16-18, 2018 in Shanghai New International Expo Centre. By focusing on the issues of food production, processing and packaging equipment in meat, dairy, fruit and vegetables, seafood, and wine industries, the exhibition aims to present a platform to promote food processing and packaging equipment development in the direction of safety, seamless design, being highly intelligent, modular, flexible and customized.
